Welcome to the new home of Payton Counseling Services, LLC. I’d like to introduce myself, I’m Dallas Payton, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I created Payton Counseling Services out of a desire to provide counseling or therapy directly to people who are surviving daily with depression, anxiety, anger problems, and trauma.

Starting the healing process takes a few things:

First, having a desire for life to be better, a change of circumstances;

Second, seeing that you can have that life worth living that you want. This means having a willingness for change even if you don’t know how.

Third, taking a bold step forward and asking for someone to help. I know that step is not easy, and it can be scary. I want you to know, there is hope for a brighter day soon. Give me a call or an email. I’d like to walk with you through this time.

Fourth, this one can be hard too. The fourth step is working through the hard times. Sometimes as people start into the therapy process, as they feel supported, things can get worse or seem harder than they were. This is to be expected. A good therapist knows this, and is careful not to push the client where they don’t want to go. A good therapist respects the client and relies upon the client to communicate if they are ready or not. If the client isn’t ready, that’s ok. That means we need to address what is missing, and sometimes its coping skills and sometimes it is time.

Thank you for visiting Payton Counseling Services, LLC. I look forward to meeting you when you are ready.
